Green Deal service unveiled at LGA Conference 2012

Posted: June 22, 2012

Home energy efficiency experts, Enact Energy, will be giving delegates at this year’s Local Government Association Conference and Exhibition the opportunity to get a much clearer understanding of the benefits of its newly launched Green Deal and ECO Package.

Specifically created to enable local authorities to offer their residents a high quality and trusted way to benefit from the Green Deal initiative, the service, which is free for local authorities to participate in, will be the major focus for Enact at the Conference and Exhibition with members of the company’s senior management team on hand to discuss just how the new service works.

Since its launch in 1996, Enact has grown to become one of the UK’s most experienced home energy efficiency businesses and has partnered with over 100 local authorities across Britain to help their residents to save energy.

In April, Enact Energy was awarded the status of “Pioneer” Green Deal Provider by DECC, one of only 22 companies to have been approved by DECC to become accredited ahead of the launch of Green Deal in October 2012.

“We are delighted to be attending the Local Government Conference and Exhibition which will be the very first opportunity we will have to discuss our new Local Authority Green Deal initiative directly with delegates, introducing the aims and benefits of the service and giving them the opportunity to find out much more about how the service will work and discuss any questions they may have,” said Enact founder and chairman Adrian Wright.

“We hope to be able to show delegates that by partnering with Enact, local authorities can have a dedicated Green Deal service up and running in a matter of weeks without the need to go through costly and complicated procurement processes which will themselves require an in depth knowledge of Green Deal to draw up,” said Adrian.

In return for endorsing and partnering with Enact, local authorities will benefit from access to all data collected from their own branded marketing campaign through an online portal and regular reports.  Information will include number and type of works installed, results of customer satisfaction surveys, results from post installation inspections to ensure quality is being maintained and full EPC energy data for all homes assessed.

Enact has produced a new guide for local authorities specifically for the conference which will be available on their stand C18 but also as a download from their website www.greendealpartnership.com or on request.

“We want to make life as easy as possible for energy conservation officers in local authorities across mainland Britain and our Green Deal initiative is designed to deliver maximum impact for minimal effort.

In addition to its Green Deal initiative Enact will also be promoting its ‘go-early’ ECO funding for solid wall insulation and its ‘free for all’ loft and cavity wall insulation service which local authority residents can benefit from immediately in addition to a full installation service for Solar PV, solar Thermal and gas boiler replacements.

Local authorities or other housing organisations interested in partnering with Enact should contact Enact Partnership Manager, Jamie Champness on 07807 297 280 or email him on: Jamie.champness@enactenergy.com
